Russian watchdog not to ban milk imports from Belarus from Thu
MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight will not ban imports of milk and some dairy products from Belarus starting from Thursday, the service’s press secretary Yuliya Melano told reporters on Wednesday.
“The service has decided not to introduce a ban on imports of raw milk from the territory of Belarus starting from tomorrow,” she said. “At the same time, the service plans to inspect compliance with the Russian norms and regulations by Belarusian companies that supply dairy products to Russia next week.”
The service initially planned to introduce the ban from February 26, but later delayed it until March 6 and then further to Thursday, March 15.
